Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General / Application

How do I apply to an Oxford Centre For Leadership programme?

To apply, simply click Apply Now on the programme page (Oxford Summer Program, Oxford Georgia Program, or Oxford Executive Program). You will be directed to our online application form where you can submit your details, personal statement and, where required, a deposit.

Once we receive your application, our Admissions team will review it for suitability. Payment of the deposit does not guarantee acceptance; all applications are assessed before offers are made.

Is there a minimum academic standard to apply?

Our courses are designed to support learners of varying academic backgrounds. All we ask is that applicants are passionate about learning and have a good level of spoken and written English. You may be asked to submit a personal statement showing your interest in your chosen programme.

Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?

At present, we do not offer scholarships or bursaries across our programmes. We continually review our offerings, so please check back later for updates.

What’s included in the programme fee?

Fees vary by programme, but generally include:

  • Full academic teaching and workshops
  • Accommodation and meals (details depend on the programme)
  • Activities, excursions and cultural events
  • Pastoral support
  • Airport transfers within scheduled windows (for select programmes)

Fees typically do not include: international flights, visa costs, travel/medical insurance, or personal expenses.

What will my day look like on a programme?

Each programme blends structured academic time with enrichment activities. You can expect morning classes or workshops followed by afternoon activities, optional excursions, leadership sessions, and social learning experiences.

Students on the Oxford Summer Program and Oxford Georgia Program will have a balanced schedule of academic and cultural activities, while participants in the Oxford Executive Program will experience leadership workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities designed for a more mature cohort.

Are these programmes affiliated with the University of Oxford or other universities?

No. Oxford Centre For Leadership is independent, and our programmes are not formally affiliated with the University of Oxford, Oxford colleges, or any other university. Our study experiences are inspired by global academic traditions and designed by our expert educators and partners.

What teaching methods are used?

We use interactive, discussion-based teaching. Depending on the programme, this will include seminars, workshops, group projects, leadership labs, and guided tutorials that challenge you to think critically and engage deeply with ideas.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes , upon successful completion of your programme, you will receive a certificate confirming your participation, including the programme name and dates. This is issued by Oxford Centre For Leadership and may be useful for university applications or professional portfolios.

What happens outside of classes?

Each programme includes a varied social and cultural schedule. This may involve city tours, leadership exercises, team building, guest talks, or local excursions, depending on the programme and location.

How does pastoral support work?

We take student wellbeing seriously. Our staff are trained to support participants throughout their programme, including supervision, health checks, and guidance in academic or personal matters. Child safety policies and ratios align with UK standards where applicable.

Can I explore on my own?

Older participants may have supervised free time to explore locally. Rules vary by age and programme; these will be explained clearly in your welcome materials and orientation briefing.

Will airport transfers be provided?

For selected programmes and within set arrival/departure windows, we provide complimentary airport transfers. Details will be shared once your enrolment is confirmed.

What if my flight is outside the transfer window?

If your flight arrives outside the scheduled window, you will need to arrange your own transport to the programme location.

Will I need a laptop or tablet?

We recommend bringing a laptop if possible, as many activities, workshops and independent projects are easier with one. Some programmes may require specific digital tools, these will be noted in your pre-arrival information.

Can I bring my phone?

Yes. Phones and devices may be used during designated free times. During structured group activities and classes, device use may be limited to enhance engagement and focus.
